Ciao bloggies
I ate breakfast solo yesterday so was able to eat out of one of my favorite bowls this time. I painted this mug in college a Color Me Mine. It’s a studio where you can go with friends, pick a ceramic piece, design/paint it, and then have it fired in their kilns. I had chosen a mug and saucer set but the mug is humongous so I use it as a bowl
I tried Cascadian Farm’s muti grain squares for the first time. Interestingly enough, they’re made in Canada. I miss Vancouver
Anyways, they were pretty good, have tons of vitamins, and a good ingredient list. They served me well for my run afterward. I ran 4.5 miles in 40 minutes, at which point I met up with Cassandra and walked 3 more miles. Mark finally put music on my ipod so I ran with it. I think the reason I don’t mind running without it is because I end up zoning the music out anyways!
I picked up Mark afterward to take him to the DMV, but needed some fuel before hand.
The DMV was suprisingly really quick! He registered his car and got weird new license plates. Since when does NY have yellow plates?
We came back to his house for lunch. I made myself a repeat of last nights dinner, but in a wrap.
Then we went shopping for what seemed like hours. It was torture. Unless it’s food shopping, I don’t want to be there! I did get a present in return for my patience though
A rice cooker/ food steamer. My current rice cooker looks more like a crock pot and spews out steam/water all over the place when the rice is cooking.
I didn’t get home until 7, at which point I decided to proceed to make the meal I had planned. Little did I know it would take me 2 hours! Since Ayla recommended Fat Free Vegan Kitchen as a good blog for meals, I’ve been looking around for a couple days. Last night I tried the Herbed Polenta with Beans and Bok Choy. The only thing is that you have to wait for the polenta to cool, which took hours! I actually didn’t even let it cool all the way so we had half mush and half solid polenta.
I was delicious though! And it was ready just in time for Lost. We ate it in front of the TV like a real American family…
Question: What appliance could you not live without?
